Action domain of the Department
This Department is in the process of development, in the coming period it will be transformed in Department in charge for the audit of food operating facilities.
The Department is competent for the following activities:
- Supervision of implementation of measures prescribed by laws and secondary legislation on food safety; supervision of products of animal origin, produced in facilities trading in internal market; control and supervision of the implementation of proscribed measures and standards in facilities, including supervision of mandatory implementation of internal control measures in facilities (HACCP, ISSO, SOP, GHP, GPP);
- Supervision of the implementation of laws, bylaws and regulations in correlation to the veterinary medicine field;
- Inspection activities in accordance with the provisions of the Veterinary Law in BiH.
